NR 439 Week 6 Assignment:  We constantly hear about teamwork and collaboration.  Not only does it benefit quality and patient safety outcomes, but according to the research article that we are critiquing, it also has an effect on ‘experiences of compassion fatigue, burnout, and compassion satisfaction.’ For oncology nursing, it is a rewarding and fulfilling stimulation for healthcare workers. At the same time, the repeated care of terminally dying patients and bereaving family members, can cause physical and emotional stress on the oncology nurse.
