SOC 449 Direct Practice Grand Canyon Course

In this course, students will learn the fundamental social work skill of direct practice. The course will include the social work “helping process” as the basic framework for social work practice. The students will get knowledge about basic direct practice skills including—intake, assessment, treatment, evaluation, and termination. The course also exposes students to theory-directed social work practice and cultural competency in interviewing.
